Why our beef?

Our cattle are Angus cross. We started building our herd 20 years ago, growing from a few cows to now having 30 to 40 cow/calf pairs at any given time. Through careful management and much trial and error we have developed a system that allows us to keep our cattle fat and happy. We use rotational grazing, and feed hay we produce ourselves. Calves are pasture born and raised, the way cows are meant to live.

Our family knows the behaviors, the routines, of each cow and calf and strive to manage any issues that arise without use of antibiotics. No hormones, no steroids are ever used.

Rather than being fed out in a feedlot, our cows are grass fed and grain finished meaning they have access to pasture, to hay, can graze but are given supplementary grain, sourced locally and responsibly. Grain finishing helps our meat to have that wonderful marbling and flavor our customers love.

If buying from a family farm, getting locally grown, fairly priced meat rather than buying meat from an unknown source, with an unknown background, possibly being treated with preservatives or "pink slime" sounds like something you are interested in keep reading to find out how it works!
